Presenting the next interview in the legends series- This time it is us! Sarah & Kyle!
The GLIMPSE

This is a glimpse behind the curtain of the way videos are put together and the thinking and evolution of the Legends Series. It’s a way for us to process and talk about the fantastic people we were delighted to work with and interview and just what we took away and what it means to us. Not only that, but the process, on the back end of how we put all this stuff together. It maps to real life, it really does.
The story of each legend is familiar; resilience, creativity, It’s sweary, irreverent, professional, deep, magical, artistic, scientific, sorcery. humorous, honest, imperfect, genuine, sincere, conversational, revelatory, filled with mistakes, filled with pride, filled with friendship. And a smattering of witchcraft.

Kyle and I are friends, clients in both directions, collaborators, co-conspirators, and creatives. We have humbled ourselves again and again to bring this project to the fore. We’ve had difficult conversations, candid conversations, asked for what we need, trusted each other, changed and innovated, made requests, stayed professional, kept going, allowed ourselves to be ourselves, trusted the process, allowed mistakes to unfold. We divulge the process of making these conversations come to life. We bring you into the way that things fuck up and keep things in the edit that might ordinarily get cut out. We model imperfect action. We model good enough. We model excellence and mastery and the absolute terror and humility that comes with that and doing things when you don't feel ready and working with good enough and showing up even when you are not motivated OR inspired. We model getting past bullshit and talking honestly.
Between us we have witnessed a lot of human behaviour from many different angles; he, from behind the camera, and a nomadic childhood; myself through coaching and a lifetime of curiosity and introspection. We model shouting swear words at inanimate objects. I have a vision, and I hand over trust to Kyle to make the vision come to life. Kyle has a vision and puts it in Sarah’s hand to make it unfold.

Who is Kyle?
Kyle McCloskey is a storyteller, Videographer, Editor who has worked on many many High-profile Tokyo-based projects, including Queer Eye Japan, has been a contender in the Hokkaido film festival, with his short-film, and perhaps most importantly The Legends Series :)
