Life coaching, purpose, and the best burger in Japan…
Had the best day filming this with Nicholas Pettas, Former K-1 fighter & Kyokushin black belt 6th Dan, for his YouTube Channel. The food was brilliant and Nic is an incredible host. He’s been on my podcast where we talked about his strategic, generous, family and community-oriented entrepreneurial mindset (highly recommend listening).
Nic and I spent the afternoon doing what we do best together: walking, talking, and being deeply, ridiculously curious about life. This is what I love about our friendship, one moment we’re talking about purpose and why we choose the paths we do, and the next we’re biting into a burger so good it stops conversation in its tracks.
We also talked about our Saunter & Frolic retreats, which happen at Nic and Angela’s holiday house in Chiba together with his lovely mother-in-law, Judy — and the chickens! Our next one will be 2026 but you can join the waiting list anytime.
And that’s another thing I love about Nic - his thoughtfulness, generosity and devotion to family. He bought the Air BnB in honour of his Mother, and now his Mother in law runs it. He and Ange are among the most wonderful couples I know - a couple whose strength is multiplied exponentially by being together - being with them is being in the orbit of something very special; absolute, unconditional support of one another as well as enhancing their wealth and prosperity. Yet not only for themselves, they actively increase the prosperity of the people around them. Plus they are excellent fun.
