Legend of Social Impact, Angela Ortiz- Next podcast episode released✨

"You don't need to walk on eggshells around who you are...There's a freedom about stepping up and owning it."

Introducing the legend of Angela Ortiz- Stratechist, Social Impact Specialist, Spartan.

Columbian American born in the US and raised in Japan, from a very big family of 11 children. Her journey with exploring ancestry, birth order, her place within the family and mining the family history for stories and creating connection. She speaks openly about the moment when she realized her parents were humans and where that led her. You can read more about our conversation below- or head straight in and listen to it here.

"Impossible is Nothing" and how that relates to her story. Importance of always failing forward.

In this conversation Angela shares her incredible story and ancestry:

  • Her investigation and connection with the female ancestors of her family; from Spain, Colombia, Texas and all the way to Japan

  • Being raised in a family of 11 brothers and sisters by adventuring parents in rural Japan - YES THAT'S RIGHT ELEVEN!

  • Connecting BACK to her Mother after seeing her as fully human and how that changed her life

  • How she recovered from an eating disorder and let it teach her not only how to cope and survive but fully recover and thrive

  • Ancestry - the next generation - the shame and difficulty of becoming a Mum at 19 and how she solo parented, built a life and raised a fierce young woman (who just turned 18!) and raised herself at the same time

  • Being educated differently and how THAT influenced her life

  • BEING BOLD and unorthodox - Ange was not raised with normal societal expectations - this means she hasn't been socialised to have the same limits and hang ups as those of us who have been through usual educational and societal routs - learn from this

  • Remembering that just because someone tells you to do something clearly doesn't mean they are right

  • She introduces us to the 8 principles in her book 'Place to Grow' giving insight on each one.

  • The kindle version is FREE and I invite you to take it, read it, subscribe to Angela's Amazon page and give it an outstanding review and to spread it among your friends!
